No crystals, no embroidery, no hardware beyond what’s needed to hold it on. The shine of the leather is the entire decoration — which is why it goes with far more than an occasion shoe usually does.

Underneath sits the same low sculpted wedge in ribbed mirror gold, lifting about an inch and a half. It carries weight evenly rather than loading the ball of the foot, so it reads as a heel and wears like a flat. The tan leather-edged sole and warm footbed keep it from tipping into full evening territory.
